In 2012, due to the discovery of numerous flaws in the reactor pressure vessels, these two reactors had to be switched off for several months. In 2013, both reactors were restarted but then on 26 March of this year were unexpectedly shut down again. Other urgent safety questions concerning the two reactors remain unanswered.
